Spectrum FM and Plastic Free Seas Worldwide have teamed up again to celebrate World Oceans Day with a global beach clean on June 8th, 2019.

Plastic Free Seas Worldwide have visited and cleaned up tonnes of rubbish from many beaches over the last two years, including two separate beach cleans at Cabopino Beach on the Costa del Sol. Anyone who attended the last two events at Cabopino will agree it was a fantastic occasion. They are now back again for a third beach clean on the 8th of June!

World Oceans Day is a very special occasion for the planet and Plastic Free Seas Worldwide feel it’s important to show their support. Plastic Free Seas will be holding four separate Clean Ups on the of 8th June, with Spain and the UK being the biggest on the calendar.

Plastic Free Seas Worldwide and Spectrum FM have made a commitment to cleaning up our lakes, streams, rivers, and oceans. The biggest beach clean to date saw 117 volunteers remove over half a tonne of plastic from Cabopino Port. In October 2018, Plastic Free Seas recorded, so far, that 7,500 pounds of plastic had been removed due to their collective beach cleans.

Founder Craig Webb says,

“If you would like to help make a difference to our planets’ future, join us on the 8th of June from 10:45 AM to 14:00 PM in the large Cabopino car park.
